If
you haven't read Part 1, it would probably
be a good idea to go do that now.
When
we last left our heroes they were being shot in the face by
a big mean Decepticon by the name of Shockwave. Well, as it
turns out, our heroes weren't exactly being shot in the face,
more like they were shot in the car they were sitting in,
disintegrating it. Not to worry though, the car wasn't an
Autobot.
This
episode chronicles Spike and Carly's search for the Dinobots
on Cybertron. Ever since they sent their last transmission
right after they arrived on Cybertron, the Dinobots haven't
been seen or heard from since.
More
than that, "Desertion of the Dinobots Part 2" is
a profile of one young woman's fight for freedom and independence
on an alien world. Struggling to survive through twisted ankles
and severe bouts of gigantism. What am I talking about? Here,
I'll explain.
Throughout
the episode Carly clearly shows some attributes that aren't
human. First off, her gigantism pictured above. Just take
a look at that hand and tell me with a straight face that
she is human. You can't and neither can I.
Secondly,
she twists her ankle from taking a semi-big fall. That in
itself isn't all that inhuman of her since people all around
the world twist their ankles all the freaking time. Only Carly
seems to recover in about one scene. I've twisted enough body
parts to know that you just don't heal after one scene. It's
unheard of!
Going
on the premise that she isn't from Earth we can come to the
only conclusion that she is trying to devour Spike. Showing
that she isn't hurt anymore was a mistake on her part and
she knows it. She tries to cover it up later by remembering
that her ankle is supposed to be twisted and calls for Spike
to lean on. But I guess if Spike is stupid enough to miss
all of these signs, he deserves to be eaten. Fucking
idiot.
Carly
and Spike end up meeting Swoop in Wheeljack's old laboratory.
The three of them take off toward the Cybertonium mines where
the rest of the Dinobots are being held as slaves.
After
a terrifying bout of booby traps and history lessons, the
trio finally find the rest of the Dinobots and the day is
won (wow, can you tell the synopsis just went down hill?).
Carly and Spike even become honorary Autobots, which entails
a five-day spa getaway and an all expenses paid trip to Hawaii.
Or at least it should. I mean, they saved the Autobots' asses
and all they walk away with is a cheap Autobot symbol.
So
what have we learned from this? Watch out for Carly, she's
not human and she won't hesitate one second to bite your friggen
head off. |
